She went through a rough patch after her divorce from Noel Gallagher.
Now for the first time Meg Mathews has opened up about her stint in rehab...
As well as spilling about what she really thinks about her ex.
Chatting about life after separating from Noel in 2001, Meg told the Evening Standard:
"I was drinking too much and it wasn't having a good effect on me. I was screwing up the whole time over things I clearly needed to sort out."
"So I booked myself into rehab and suddenly all this stuff I hadn't dealt with came tumbling out. I hadn't dealt with my divorce... I couldn't let anyone see how badly it hurt me."
Chatting about her anger towards Noel, Meg said:
"I did two months of rehab to let all that go. If I hadn't done that, I might still be sitting here here going, that w***er Noel Gallagher, but I've let it go."
She did add though, that: "I can't be nice about him... we're not the best of mates."
Perhaps in light of her own troubles, Meg also voiced a plea for the media to go easy on Lily Allen, in light of her headline-grabbing antics of late.
"I wish people would stop having a go at Lily Allen," she said. "You're young, you have too many glasses of champagne and someone's there with a camera. I got famous and it happened. It's all a learning process."
Wise words, Meg.
