Melanie Chisholm Melanie Chisholm The Spice Girls performing at the Olympics seemed far-fetched.

And now Sky Showbiz knows the truth.

We enjoyed an exclusive chat with Melanie Chisholm last night at the Hard Rock Pinktober Women In Rock Concert at London's Royal Albert Hall.

A glamorous-looking Mel was quick to dispel rumours in the weekend papers which suggested a Spice Girls reunion was on the cards for the London 2012 Olympics.

"Sorry, but it's not true, I don't know where they’re getting it from," exclaimed Mel.

"It's true we're all getting on a lot better, but no plans for a reunion at the moment."

It sounds like Mel's far too busy starring in the West End production of Blood Brothers to even contemplate a music tour.

Mel explained: “It’s going really well, but it does mean that my routine with (my daughter) Scarlet has gone out of the window.

"I'm loving being on stage every night but it is nerve-wracking - and tiring.

"I'm working six days a week and it's a very emotional show and it does take it out of you, but at least I get to go home to my other half and my baby each night and sleep in my own bed.

"That's a lot easier than when I was on tour with the Spice Girls."

When she does get a bit of downtime multi-talented Mel likes nothing better than catching up with The X Factor.

"I'm dipping in and out of it but I think Cheryl's fantastic.

"I love her new single and I wish her all the luck in the world, not that she needs it."

We think Cheryl's fab too - come take a look at CHERYL COLE'S STYLE OVER TIME here.
