But we're not just pointlessly gossip-mongering...

The pairing is all in the name of television.

The Bionic Woman will join Doctor Who for an Easter special of the popular show.

Former EastEnder Mich will guest star in Planet Of The Dead, which will be broadcast on BBC1 in April.

She will play Dave's saucy assistant, Lady Christina de Souza.

Russell T Davies, who writes the show, describes the character as: "A woman with a mysterious past who is going to have a huge impact on Doctor Who."

What that impact is David Tennantwe're not entirely sure, but you can bet your bottom dollar we are dying to find out.

According to the Daily Mail, Lady Christina will accompany the Doctor on a dangerous bus trip in the episode.

Even though Mich will only appear in one of the four stand-alone eps this year, there are rumours circulating that the actress may even be considered for a permanent role alongside new Doctor Matt Smith in the 2010 series.

Apparently, Michelle has been chatting to the show bosses about playing Mr Smith's assistant.

"She is perfect for the role. She is good looking and the right age to star alongside Matt," a source told the Mail. "Everyone agrees they look great together and reckon fans will."
