The recent Twitter pics of Miley Cyrus are causing a sensation.
It all started when Hairspray director Adam Shankman posted pics of her fooling around for the camera on the social networking site.
And now he's responding to critics about why he posted them.
A few days ago Adam put up some pics he'd taken in a make-up room on location in Georgia.
The snaps showed him and Miley together and there was also one of Miley posing seductively for the camera.
He's now defended the images and said: "Miley is a sweet angel who works tirelessly and endlessly, and is allowed to have fun in the make-up room.
"Seriously. Lighten up or no more behind the scenes pics. She's like my angel little sister."
It's not the first time pics of Miley have caused a stir. After posing topless (with just a strategically-placed sheet for company) for an arty Vanity Fair shoot last year, she said: "I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed."
Let's hope this is the end of Miley's pic scandal history.
