Miley Cyrus Miley Cyrus A 53-year-old man has been charged with attempting to stalk Miley Cyrus.

Mark McLeod, the man in question, told police he was secretly engaged to Miley.

He was arrested after he returned to the film set where the star is working, despite previously being warned by police to stay away, reports People.

Police chief Jim Price of the Tybee Island police said McLeod was arrested after Disney security officers reported him trying to find the star.

People reports he was arrested in June on charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction.

According to police he'd tried to breach the security perimeter on the movie set.

He was released from jail in June after signing papers in which he agreed to return to court on the 1st September.

Reports say that an officer's written account quoted Mark as saying: "Our eyes met at her concert and we both knew.

"I walked straight through security and up to her bus. Bill Ray was standing there. He shook my hand and said you're the good man we've been praying for."

He has made no known threats to Miley but police have said the attempted stalking charge was justified because he was warned not to come back to the film set after his initial arrest.
