Michael JacksonThere's been a lot of confusion over the burial date of the late King of Pop.

Reports emerged last week that Michael Jackson had been secretly laid to rest in a private location.

But now his dad Joe Jackson has announced that Michael's burial will take place on the 31st August.

The Jackson family had initially planned to lay him to rest two days earlier on the 29th August, which would have been Michael's 51st birthday.

But Joe told TMZ.com: "There are things the family needs to get in order before Michael is laid to rest."

With a date set for the burial, the 31st is now likely to become a day of mourning for Jacko's fans around the world.

Meanwhile, a documentary special following four of Michael's brothers is due to air in the US before the end of this month.

Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon took part in the filming which reveals how they coped after Michael's sudden death in June.
