Mariah Carey and Sharon Stone Buckle down the hatches, people.

Hollywood's latest tour de force has hit town.

We're talking Schmazzer - otherwise known as Sharon Stone and Mariah Carey.

The two Hollywood superstars were seen palling-up at the grand opening of a luxury resort in Cape Town.

We never knew they were mates before - but they make a formidable, if slightly random, double act.

At 51, Sharon is 12 years Mazza's senior, and is better known for her flesh-flashing cinematic antics rather than tear-jerking ballads - as per Mariah.

But whatevs.

We're sure the two gal pals still find plenty of common ground to chat about, from where to get a stellar A-list manicure, to how difficult it is to find pool staff these days.

Who knows, maybe Mariah even has a playful dig at Sharon's infamous Basic Instinct rudey scene, while Shazza jokingly throws off a karaoke rendition of Maz's hit Hero?
