Things have been surprisingly dry on the Britney Spears lurve front of late.

But at last we've landed ourselves a chunk of romance goss to chew on.

Cos the popster apparently has a new fella on the scene.

Chat on the hotwire has it that Brit is dating one of her bodyguards.

The Sun report that the tough man in question is a former Israeli soldier known only as Lee.

They've been spotted swimming in a pool in Mexico together, as well as hanging out at Brit's LA pad.

A source tells the newspaper: "Britney and Lee hit it off immediately.

"He is her perfect type. She loves guys who work out and he is in great shape from his days serving in the Israeli army.

"They've been having a great time - Lee's put a smile on her face."

Very interesting indeed. The last thing we heard, Brit was considering getting back together with her beau of old, Adnan Ghalib.

But we're intrigued to hear she might've moved on to someone else.
