Nick Lachey has spoken out about Jessicagate.
He says he's shocked about all the hype being made over his ex-wife's body.
The lovely lad stepped in to the debate to defend Jess' honour after endless criticism was made of Jess' curves last week.
"I wish her nothing but the best, and I hope she's happy - whatever size that comes in," he told Extra.
"I can't believe it's this big of a story and people are making such a huge deal about it. I'm never ceased to be amazed by people's reactions to things."
Jess and Nick split in November, 2005, and we were gutted because we always thought Nick was a dinky-di kind of guy.
He joins a long line of celebs eager to put their two cents worth into the great weight debate, surrounding the pop-turned-country music star.
"I think this is absolutey ridiculous. People are being so mean," Paula Abdul told Us magazine.
"People don't realize that it's damaging to one's psyche. For women, it's hard enough to be accepted for how you are."
Rose McGowan's words were a little more rough around the edges: "She should say 'eff off to the critics.
"It's sad because you see a lot of male actors who gain a lot of weight in between roles. The reality is, if I went and gained 30 pounds in between roles, I wouldn't get roles. I think that's sexism, and it drives me crazy!"
And Carmen Electra also echoed the sentiments, telling People magazine: "She's a gorgeous girl. A lot of women would die to look as good as she looks."
