The world of showbiz moves quicker than light sometimes.
It seems like only a blink of an eyelid since Jamie Lynn Spears was a cute youngster on Zoey 101.
And now she's approaching her 18th birthday - her debut as a grown-up celeb.
How the blimmin' heck did that happen?
We're reeling as we struggle to take in that Brit's little sis will now be old enough to vote, watch an X-rated movie and buy alcohol - in the UK at least.
Where did time go, eh?
Mind you, with a bubba to her name, Jamie Lynn's already grown up a whole lot quicker than she probably bargained for.
The revelation that the teen star was pregnant at the tender age of 16 rocked the showbiz world - and caused Jamie's mum Lynne to put her book about good parenting on hold.
But somehow, Jamie Lynn has ridden through the tide of controversy with ease, giving birth to her daughter Maddie Briann, her child by boyfriend Casey Aldridge, last June.
Since then, she's revealed that she adores motherhood, saying:
"I love taking care of her (Maddie). It is so much fun. I just want to hug her and kiss her, and I'm happy all the time."
Great to hear it, Jamie. Many happy returns - bring on a good ol' Spears family knees-up.
