The Wag one has been forced to perform a hasty and rather hilarious U-turn after irking a lot of Liverpudlians.
You may recall Alex caused controversy recently by branding her home town as "rough", and saying that she never went out there anymore.
However, Alex, whose husband Steve Gerrard was recently cleared of affray following a brawl in one of the city's pubs, is now claiming she was misinterpreted.
The 26-year-old Scouser said her comments to new! magazine that she avoided Liverpool's hot spots because they "attract the wrong sort of people" were taken in the wrong way - because she was just talking about "one or two clubs".
"I love living in Liverpool," she told The Sun.
"I love the people, they are so generous and friendly. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else."
Phew, that's got that one sorted.
