This being showbiz, a thousand bubba whisperings were immediately ignited.

Commentators far and wide were speculating that Paris might've followed the lead of her good pal Nicole Richie, in making a baby with her current amour Benji Madden.

She is after all, very loved-up at the mo, and has made no secret of her desire to have kids at some point in the future.

But Paris' rep has poured cold water on all the rumours, telling US magazine that the pregnancy gossip is "completely false."

Oh well. Must have been a trick of the light, we suppose.
