The grungy actor lost his rag on a recent night out in London - and had to be rescued by could-be squeeze Kimberly Stewart.

The incident erupted outside Bungalow 8 nightclub.

Kim and Rhys had headed there earlier on in the evening in order to celebrate her 28th birthday.

However, merry b'day chants and balloon frolics were the last thing on Rhys' mind, as photographers tried to pap him and Kim leaving the venue.

According to onlookers, Rhys suddenly snapped and confronted the waiting photo peeps, accusing them of having no respect.

Looking a tad worse for wear, Rhys yelled at the cameramen and generally did his very best impression of an irate and extremely het up buffoon.

It was eventually left to b'day gal Kim to drag him away from the confrontation - and, as you see from this pic, she had to put quite a bit of muscle into the task.

Rhys 'n' Kim are rumoured to be dating - although he's insisted they're just good pals. Heard that before?
