There was no ring... now there is one.
But it's of the engagement variety.
However, even better than a bit of bling, we've got word direct from the grandpa horse's mouth.
Gisele Bundchen's grandfather is the first family member of the Bundchen clan to chat about her recent marriage to Tom Brady.
Walter Bundchen has wished his granddaughter well, and expressed his disappointment at not being able to attend her wedding.
"Marriage is a natural thing that happens in people's lives," Walter told Brazilian magazine, Quem. "I wanted so much to see her married."
Walter says that he couldn't attend the private ceremony because of health issues.
"I can't take a long distance flight," he said.
Gisele and Tom tied the knot last Thursday in a small and private ceremony at dusk in a Santa Monica church in California.
According to Us magazine, Gisele wore a stunning custom made Dolce and Gabbana ivory, body-hugging gown with a floor-length veil.
Since her nuptials, the supermodel has remained coy with the press about the subject, by stepping out earlier this week without any wedding bling.
There are still no official snaps of the wedding, and it looks like the couple will keep them out of the public eye.
