Coleen and Wayne Rooney are over the moon.
Close friends and family have revealed that they're delighted to have had a baby boy.
Coleen gave birth to their first child, Kai Wayne Rooney, last week and was out of hospital just two days later.
The proud parents now have their son at home and are settling into life as new parents.
Wayne's cousin Natalie Rooney revealed to Hello! magazine: “Wayne was excited about becoming a dad.
“He missed football training so he could be there at the birth.
"And he always said that he wanted a baby boy first.”
Meanwhile their close friend Dawn Ward, who designed Kai's nursery, said: "Coleen wasn’t bothered what she had. She was equally happy with a boy or girl."
Dawn added: "Kai has the best nursery in the world.
"It is fantastic, the best I have ever done. We finished it and I
didn’t want to leave!.
"It is typical Coleen, very classic, very tasteful. And
Wayne is a great dad. He is really good with babies. They all love him."
Wayne's dad Tony also spoke about his first grandchild.
He told Hello!: “I’m trying to keep out of the way as it’s pretty frantic.
"But we’re all so pleased. It’s fantastic.”
He added: “Wayne hasn’t yet given his son a football shirt. Whether that’s going to be Everton we’ll have to
see.”
