Samantha Ronson's relationship with Lindsay Lohan has prompted plenty of opinion.
For one, Lindsay's dad, Michael, reckons Sam is after a slice of his daughter's fame.
But Sam herself says nothing could be further from the truth.
Speaking to Heat magazine, Sam said:
"I've been DJing for 10 years - I don't use anyone for that. My brother (Mark Ronson) has just won three Grammys - he has a far greater influence in the music industry.
"If I was going to use anybody, wouldn't I use him?"
Sam said she actually goes out of her way not to exploit Lindsay's success in the Hollywood industry, commenting:
"If people hire me to get Lindsay to go somewhere, I make sure she doesn't come. I would never use anybody, especially someone I care about.
"It makes me sick when people say that. If that's the type of person I was, why would Lindsay be around me?"
Quite right, Sam. You go get 'em.
