We at the Showbiz Shed are devoted Sex And The City fans.
So it's music to our ears to hear one of the stars is set to hit Blighty (sort of).
Slick Manhattanite Cynthia Nixon has signed her name to a British telly drama.
Cynthia, 42, will play the role of performance artist Penny Arcade in an ITV adaptation of An Englishman In New York.
Cynthia will play opposite John Hurt in the role of writer Quentin Crisp, around whom the story is based.
However, she won't actually leave her playing ground of NY - since the entire programme is based in the Big Apple.
Filming began earlier this week, with producer James Burstall telling The Sun:
"There is a real buzz about the project in Manhattan."
The drama is set to hit our screens in 2009, and we for sure can't wait to see Cynthia once again - even without the obligatory Cosmos and Jimmy Choos.
