Selma Blair has always looked pretty sleek to us.
But the 36-year-old has come clean on her fat fears.
She's found the process of piling on the pounds a bit traumatic.
The American star had to put on weight for her role of Kim Day for the US remake of hit Australian soap Kath & Kim.
Chatting to Metro about shooting the soap, Selma described the course of fleshing out as "unpleasant".
"I'd have lacerations on my body from my shorts being so tight," Selma revealed.
"They'd yell 'cut', and people would come over with a bathrobe because I was so embarrassed about the flab rolling over."
"It was so ugly," she continued. "That and my double chin. I've lost the weight but it's difficult to get it off as you get older."
Um, Sel love, we can't say you look what we'd term "fat" in character to us. And what's wrong with a little bit of extra flesh anyway? No need to be so dezza to cover up.
Anyhoo, if there's one thing that has caught our attention it's the trashy clothes - but then Selma herself admits her fashion in the soap is "really horrific".
This isn't the first time Selma's had to do something a bit controversial in the name of acting - she made headlines almost 10 years back by snogging co-star Sarah Michelle Prinze for Cruel Intentions.
The rigours of the trade, eh? Come see stars who've changed their look dramatically for a role in our gallery below.
