Sharon Stone's rep has denied that the Hollywood actress had a bout of air rage on a Delta flight from Montana to Salt Lake City.
Her spokesman Paul Bloch said: "The people waiting were private security hired by Sharon. She was not detained by police.
"Sharon had been visiting her father in Montana, and was approved to take both bags on the plane.
"When she got to the plane, she told me the stewardess screamed at her that she couldn't take both bags on board."
According to Bloch, Sharon reportedly asked the stewardess to stop shouting at her.
Eventually she had to give up one of her bags to be checked in, which she apparently wasn't too happy about.
As for her supposed detention by police, Bloch explained: "She arrived and was met by someone she had arranged to meet her in Salt Lake City.
"She was greeted by airport services - people she had retained who took care of her and her luggage so she could eat and relax... she had no problems getting back on the plane."
Airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann agreed, saying: "The airport police were requested by her.
"She was travelling alone and had requested in advance if we could give her special assistance because she was travelling alone and didn't want to cause disruption or congestion from autograph seekers."
Phew, glad that's all cleared up.
