We were never exactly clear on why Shazza left the show.
But now an X Factor insider has stepped forward, and says he knows the answer.
Executive producer Richard Holloway told The Sun: "I think her demands were unreasonable. From a financial point of view, it was absolutely right to say there was no more money."
According to the paper, Sharon was reportedly on a salary of £1.5m and was apparently holding out on a salary rise of £500,000.
"Sharon didn't want to do the next series," Richard added. "We wanted her to stay on, without question, but it was totally and utterly her choice."
