... You're going to be disappointed.
The Latina lovely has dropped out of the eagerly anticipated big-screen adaptation of the eighties TV hit.
She was set to play boozy Sue Ellen opposite John Travolta's oil baron JR Ewing.
Jen's representative, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, confirmed the news, telling US publication Star: "She's out of Dallas."
But she didn't explain why.
The rumour mill, of course, has it that this means she's pregnant. To be fair, she's also pulled out of a tour of Europe and Asia recently.
Dallas The Movie has had several issues of late, with director Robert Luketic also quitting.
He cited "creative differences" as the reason and was also reportedly unhappy with the casting.
Robert worked with La Lopez on Monster-In-Law and is thought to have been the man who persuaded her to do Dallas in the first place.
Dallas will now be directed by Bend It Like Beckham's Gurinder Chadha.
Luke Wilson is thought to be taking on the part of Bobby Ewing and Shirley MacLaine the role of Miss Ellie.
Despite big names like Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson being touted to play Lucy Ewing, the part eventually went to Katie Cassidy, who stars in US family drama 7th Heaven.
