The son of Anna Nicole Smith has died just three days after she gave birth to a baby daughter.
Daniel, 20, had visited his mother and new sister just hours before his death.
Anna Nicole published a statement on her website which said: "On September 7 Anna Nicole gave birth to a healthy 6lb, 9oz baby girl.
"Her son Daniel was in the Bahamas with her to share in the joy of his baby sister when he passed away suddenly on the morning of September 10."
An investigation has been launched into how Daniel died.
Anna Nicole's lawyer, Howard K Stern, said in a statement: "We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor.
"Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being."
Daniel was Anna Nicole's son from her first marriage. He appeared in her reality TV series The Anna Nicole Show.
Anna Nicole's mother said: "Vickie (Anna Nicole's real name) always wanted a little girl but for this terrible tragedy to happen so soon after having a healthy little baby daughter is unbelievable."
The father of Anna Nicole's new baby is celeb photographer boyfriend, Larry Birkhead.
Anna Nicole, a former Playboy model, is still pursuing her claim to half of the £800million fortune of her late second husband, oil tycoon J Howard Marshall II.
The pair married when she was 26 years old and he was 89.
