We all know that there's a lot of talk about keepin' it real in the music biz.
But P Diddy had a very real message for all the kids out there when he visited a school recently.
He told students at a high school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that it's important to stay in school.
P Diddy, 36, was a surprise guest speaker and addressed 750 students.
He said: "This is a really important time for you all right now. This is the time that is going to dictate your future. It's important to know what it takes to achieve your dream.
"Take responsibility for your future. No excuses!"
Some of the students even joined him on stage to share their goals.
The school's officials were so impressed that they will now use P Diddy's words in an anti-truancy campaign.
School principal Christopher Johnson said: "We wanted someone whom they would sit down and listen to, someone who comes from the same type of background.
"To have a superstar come in is extremely powerful."
