Because the actress has given birth to twins.
Amanda and Nick, guitarist for The Strokes, are the proud parents of a bouncing baby girl and boy, who each weighed six pounds.
The boy had to spend his first day in intensive care at a private Los Angeles hospital near to the couple's home.
But what are their names? you ask. Well, a friend said: "The girl's going to be called Ella but they haven't chosen a name for the boy yet."
Amanda shot to fame in the eighties when she presented Channel 4's late night show The Word.
She began dating Nick in 2002 and they married in the Bahamas in summer 2006.
