Britney SpearsBritney Spears has been shopping.

And made a new purchase...

... London.

But fret not - don't go thinking that she has managed to buy up our nation's capital.

Let's just take a moment to imagine that calamity.

And let's breathe a mahoosive sigh of relief that London is actually the name of Brit's new pet pooch.

She bobbed along to a LA pet store and it was love at first sight.

She fell for a Yorkshire terrier. (A Yorkie named London is a v strange choice, we think.)

A fellow shopper told the Metro: "She picked up the dog and loved it right away."

Guess that's why they call it puppy love.
