Brad Pitt is set to become the highest paid Hollywood star after signing a deal to write and direct his own scripts - Tom Cruise style.

In fact, there's a chance Brad, who can be seen in new movies Ocean's Thirteen and Jesse James, could follow in Tom's footsteps in more ways than one.

Insiders tell me: "Brad has been offered the Mission: Impossible role and loves the idea but the deal is much more than that.

"He wants to direct, develop script ideas and make movies that he also sees himself in."
