Mariah Carey has hit out at the bad press surrounding her cancelled Hong Kong concert and says she is not to blame.

The megastar songstress claims it was because she was owed money, not because she was making irrational demands, that the gig was called off.

She told me: "You know, calling me a diva is an easy option just because I am a singer and an actress.

"But the word diva really cannot be applied to me."
