We know Simon Cowell can be harsh to his X Factor wannabes but does he really torture the poor souls?
Andrew Lloyd Webber has implied that is the case.
Lord Lloyd Webber, who is hunting for contestants to represent Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest, made the comments when talking about his new show.
"Your Country Needs You would not use gimmicks or put wannabes through mental torture," the Webster said.
"The mantra of the show is that we nurture, we don't torture."
The composer said of Simon: "He doesn't work with artists like I do. I'm here to get the best out of everybody."
Now, now Andrew, play nicely.
He added: "All my acts call me Andrew, and they call my mobile when they need help. There will be no tricks on this show. Over my dead body."
Strong words Andy, we can't wait to see what Si has to say.
