Simon Cowell Has Simon Cowell lifted the lid on the most talked about X Factor romance?

Well, it seems he has indeed let a few beans spill over.

Simon has revealed that Eoghan Quigg and Diana Vickers' puppy love is for real.

For the last few weeks there's been so much speculation surrounding the nature of the teens' relationship, but the two youngsters have always insisted they're just good friends.

But this latest comment from Simon says otherwise.

Si blew the cover at a press conference while discussing Eoghan's teary breakdown after Diana was voted off in last week's show.

"Look he seemed pretty happy today," he said. "I don't think that there will be anymore tears. They are just two kids in love.

"When you make live TV things like that happen. That is the fun thing about it. They are young and enjoying themselves. Why not?"

Eoghan has also sprinkled a little bit of petrol on the rumours during an appearance on This Morning. When discussing Di's departure from the show he admitted:

"I was so shocked. It broke me in half. We're really close friends... who knows in the future."

Bring on the future we say. We're all for the Qui-ckers romance.

So while there's still no official confirmation from the couple themselves, who and what do we believe?

Well, our bets are with Si. If his judging is anything to go by, he's a pretty honest fella.
