Thankfully we're not on about his music style though.

Nope, we're talking about his latest career move.

Rumour has it that the soulful songster is the latest star to sign up for this year's I'm a Celebrity... and is said to be set to receive a cool £100,000 for his efforts.

A pal of Simon's told The Sun: "He is massively excited about the show as he's been out of the spotlight for a while.

"Producers want him because he's a good talker and not afraid to say what's on his mind."

But any bikini-clad babes hoping to get steamy with Si in the jungle may be disappointed...

His girlfriend of four years Layla Manoochehri has plenty of free time to keep an eye on Si. 

The singer's group, Girlband, was booted off The X Factor at the weekend.

The pal went on: "They've been together for a while so they can handle the separation - it's only a month tops after all.

"But I'm sure she'll be worried. ITV are bound to put some attractive girls in to tempt the lads."

From what we've heard about the ladies rumoured to be going in so far, though, Layla's got little to worry about...

Unless of course Simon's got a thing for Esther Rantzen.
