SJP's Frocking Fume

Sarah Jessica Parker is having a fashion fuelled fume.
She's not happy about her SATC NYC premiere dress.
It's not that she didn't look absolutely beaut...
But SJP's frock wasn't as exclusive as she thought.
The strapless metallic gown she paraded down the pink carpet in the Big Apple had already been worn twice before.
Now that may not be a big deal for us mere mortals...
But for a fashion-forward icon like SJP it must be galling to find out that a dress you thought was just for you had already been trotted out by other celebs before.
The dress was worn by heiress Lauren Santo Domingo last month at the Met Gala, who incidentally walked the red carpet with the dress' designer Olivier Theyskens.
And to add salt to the wounds the other inhabitant of the floor length number was Lindsay Lohan, who wore the dress for a Disney ad campaign.
Parker told the NY Times that the designer had assured her the gown had only ever appeared in magazine shoots.
She said: "Look, my affection for the dress hasn't changed. But what they did was so short-sighted. It's just unethical and disappointing that they would allow the dress to be worn again.
"The designer didn't say, 'Well, actually I just escorted Lauren down the red carpet at the Met.'"
SJP added: "I just wish it had been handled differently and they had been straight about it."
Well if it makes you feel any better Sarah - we think you looked the best in the frock and shame on those pesky designers.

Sarah Jessica Parker Vs Carrie Bradshaw
Where does Carrie Bradshaw end and Sarah Jessica Parker begin?
Let's face it, SJP has some big Manolos to fill playing the fashionista extraordinaire.
So when it comes to the crunch who really takes the biscuit in the fashion stakes?
Carrie hearts shopping, we all know that.
