Sarah Jessica is a staunch supporter of President Obama and even manned phones at his election HQ during the campaign last year.
The panel will be asked to suggest projects to encourage ordinary Americans to take an interest in the arts.
The committee is chaired by none other than First Lady Michelle Obama.
Michelle said: "Arts define who we are as a people and provide an account of our history for the next generation."
