Especially, if you happen to be Solange Knowles.

But forget about Beyonce, Sol is the new funkier sister in town.

Solange, who has recently released a cracking new album, has been chatting to Hello! mag about being compared with big sis, Bey.

"I can see how people would think that I'm here because of Beyonce," she said. "But with this record that really wasn't in my head."

And, Sol wants to make it clear that she does not need Bey to get noticed.

"I started this record completely independently - I had no record label. I had no main producer, and everyone turned me down.

"Probably because of that, like 'We're not going to reward her because she's Beyonce's sister', and I understood that."Solange and Beyonce Knowles

She explains how she worked hard to get the album noticed by bigwigs like Pharrell Williams, proving that she could make it all on her own.

Solange, who many consider the wilder sister of the two, has also lived a very different life to her sister.

She was pregnant at the age of 16 to American football player Daniel Smith, married at 17, and now divorced at the age of 22.
