Susan Boyle has been taken to a private health clinic.
The 48-year-old singer was accompanied by health officials The Priory in London last night to be treated for exhaustion.
She is said to be "emotionally drained" following her defeat on Britain's Got Talent on Saturday.
Susan, affectionately known as Su-Bo, had been the bookies' favourite to win the competition with her rendition of 'I Dreamed A Dream’ from Les Miserables - the same song that catapulted her to global fame.
However, she lost out to teen dance troupe, Diversity.
"Susan is exhausted and emotionally drained," a spokeperson for Talkback Thames, the company behind Britain's Got Talent, stated.
"She has been seen by her private GP, who supports her decision to take a few days out for rest and recovery. We offer her our ongoing support and wish her a speedy recovery."
Police confirmed that a woman had been voluntarily taken to a clinic on Sunday after officers were called to assess her under mental health legislation.
A spokesman for London's Scotland Yard said: "Police were called at approximately 6pm (1700 GMT) to a central London hotel to doctors assessing a woman under the Mental Health Act.
"Police and ambulance attended. The woman was taken voluntarily by ambulance to a clinic. At the request of doctors, police accompanied the ambulance."
On the bright side, commentators are predicting Su-Bo will pull in approximately £8million with her near-win; she's also been tipped for a number one hit and a record contract with Simon Cowell.
