24th December 2009
In the words of the great Noddy Holder, "It's Christmas". And here on Sky Showbiz, we're taking the opportunity to indulge in a little nostalgia with a look back at the highs and lows from Celebville in our gallery of 2009 in review.
We've also made sure that we have all your fashion and beauty bases covered for Christmas, with our lowdown on the best shoes and clutches to ask Father Christmas for and the celebrity inspired scents that we want in our stockings this year. Alexa Chung has been crowned the style queen of 2009 and you can see who else is joining her in our gallery of the year's fashion forward stars here.
And if you haven't found that perfect present for the man in your life yet, take inspiration from our video on the hottest male stars and how mere mortals can steal their style. Come New Year, we'll all be dating Jude Law/David Beckham/George Clooney (delete as applicable).
A hardcore crew at Showbiz HQ will be battling the elements to bring you all the celebrity, fashion and beauty news over Christmas so keep an eye on our latest news for the splits and reunions of 2009, the new arrivals, tragic losses (from Brittany Murphy’s funeral plans making headlines to MJ's autopsy) and our hopes for 2010.
Have a very happy Christmas, here's hoping Santa's kind to you, and I'll be back in the new year.

Wednesday 23rd December
It's Christmas Eve eve, an official date in the Sky Showbiz calendar, and we're celebrating with a tea, cake, and sparkly jumpers (well, it is still snowing outside).
We're not the only ones wrapping up warm for winter. Gwen Stefani has been spotted out and about in an enormous multi-coloured Puffa to brace London's icy streets, while Peter Andre muffles up his daughter in matching headgear and David Beckham goes retro in the classic trench and flat cap combo, accessorised with two perfectly turned out sons.
Of course, the cold weather doesn't suit everyone. As the mercury dips, it's time to spare a thought for poor old Simon Cowell, for whom all this cold is just too much to bear. How can he possibly be expected to wear his trademark low-cut tops to show off maximum heavage when it's -6 outside? Fortunately the pop svengali is a man of means and is currently sunning himself on a beach in Barbados. Watch him at it, here. Another cup of tea and a hot water bottle, anybody?
In other Showbiz news, there’s a new probe into Brittany Murphy’s death as rumours of pills allegedly found in her home surface, and the results of Stephen Gately’s autopsy have been revealed. Read the news here and let us know what you think.
And finally, to the beautiful people who just won't be 'chained down' by convention, or so says Hollywood's hottest leading lady and all around earth-mother Angelina Jolie. She's spoken out about fidelity and her relationship with Brad Pitt in a German magazine. So does this mean Brad's up for grabs? Make up your own mind, but please do remember that Team Showbiz is first in line.

Tuesday 22nd December
In a world still reeling from the untimely death of actress Brittany Murphy, the man who knew her best, husband Simon Monjack, has spoken out to deny rumours that there was anything untoward about the way she died.
In his first interview since the incident on Sunday, he reveals how his "world was destroyed," by the news. Read the interview here, and read our tribute to the other stars that died young.
As 2009 draws to a close, many of us will be reflecting on the highs and lows of the year and the monumentous decade that will, against our better judgement, be forever known as 'the noughties'.
Lily Allen has taken time out to look back on the 10 years that changed everything for her and tells all about the sadness of losing her baby to the hope of finding new love.
Looking forward to 2010, few of us really know what's in store but what we can count on is the ever changing face of fame. Team Showbiz have scoured the globe to bring you the hottest new talent for 2010, from Avatar's Zoe Saldana taking on Hollywood to Amy Winehouse's soul diva goddaughter Dionne Bromfield and actor Aaron Johnson, 19, who is likely to have just as many column inches dedicated to his role as 42-year-old Sam Taylor-Wood's boyfriend. Find out who we'll all be watching in 2010 here.
And finally, the usually reticent Kate Moss has spoken out to give her words of wisdom to a fellow celebrity. No, it's not Lily, Stella, Sadie or any of the Primrose Hill set. This time she's set her sights on Katie Price. Find out why and see just what the former glamour model should be making her New Year's resolution here.
Until tomorrow,

Monday 21st December
There's only one thing on everyone's minds today - the sad news that actress Brittany Murphy has died suddenly at the age of 32.
We've been looking back at her life in pictures and all of us at Showbiz HQ are amazed by how much she achieved in such a short time. The inevitable celebrity tributes are now pouring in, from Lindsey Lohan and former co-star Alicia Silverstone, to amicable ex Ashton Kutcher. We've had no word from her British husband yet but will, of course, keep you posted as soon as we know more.
Somehow, the world keeps on turning. X Factor stars keep on singing (or not, as the case may be for new model Lucie Jones), ageing rockers go on thrashing young pop ingenues to the Christmas number one slot (that's you by the way, Joe McElderry), and former glamour girls make their relationships front page news. We catch up with Katie Price and Alex Reid as they attempt to rekindle their romance, here.
And with just four more sleeps until Christmas (thanks Cat!), London's party set are still proving relentless in their pursuit of a good time. A very hot Jamie Campbell Bower (Twilight , Harry Potter) and his Potter co-star Bonnie Wright were out in force at Bungalow 8 on Friday night, flanked by the hardcore crew: Fearne Cotton, Henry Holland, Konnie Huq, Jenni Falconer and Zoe Salmon, with Lola and Tali Lennox shepherded by Will Young. Keep up to date with the latest news here and let us know what you think,

Friday 18th December
I'm reliably informed by our in-house Christmas elf (OK, Cat from TV) that there are now a mere seven sleeps until Christmas and the arrival of Friday has never seemed more welcome.
Mine will probably go something along the lines of: mince pies, bit of work, mince pies, shopping, sauvignon blanc, more mince pies, a seasonal Pret Christmas sandwich with a mince pie chaser.
To keep us all going until home-time, Team Showbiz have come up with a host of holiday must-haves, from what we'll all be wearing to mark the end of the noughties in our New Year's trend watch to the year’s best and worst dressed (Courtney Love, take note).
We've also got Sarah Jessica Parker having a massive dress malfunction and the fabulous Demi Moore hitting back at her age critics. Both women are living proof that things only get better as you get older and both look just as gorgeous as they did in their 20s (seriously we've seen them close up, it's sickening!). So what's their secret? Glossy hair, great teeth, youthful skin and luscious lashes all play a major part and we've done some digging to find out how the rest of us can get the look, here.
Here's wishing you a fabulous weekend, and wrap up warm!

Thursday 17th December
Team Showbiz got a star in their advent calendar this morning. This seems wonderfully apt on the day that the festive fizz appears to have finally caught up with our celebrity friends and the stars of stage and screen are letting their hair (extensions) down.
With Brian Blessed attacking co-star Pamela Anderson outside the New Wimbledon Theatre ('Pamela ****ing Anderson? I wouldn't touch her with yours.') and Nicole Kidman doing her make-up in the dark, we haven't stopped laughing here at Showbiz HQ since we got in at 7am (yes, that's right, AM, read it and weep. Or send us presents. Chocolate, always good). To top it all off and give you a special Thursday treat, we're also bringing you the best star quotes of 2009 including some classic lines from Team Speidi, Lady Gaga, Sienna Miller and SJP. Prepare to cringe.
We've also got everyone's favourite earth mother, Courtney Love, having a rant on facebook and everyone's favourite fairy-godmother, Amy Winehouse, being ditched by goddaughter, 13-year-old soul singer Dionne Bromfield for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie at last night's VIP performance of The Nutcracker.
Let us know what you think - and get ready for your Friday fashion and beauty fix from Sky Showbiz.

Wednesday 16th December
Anyone else all partied out yet? The Sky Showbiz team have now reached that point in the pre-Christmas social calendar when the prospect of an early night and some vegetables is just as appealing as a session at Boujis followed by a monster shopping spree.
While we fully intend to keep up our valiant presence on the party circuit and convince ourselves that cat-naps are just as effective as a full eight hours, we'll be bringing you some quick and easy cheats to staying solvent, stylish and self-possessed in the run up to Christmas.
Got To Dance judge and Pussycat Doll Kimberly Walsh shares her style secrets exclusively to Sky Showbiz and we bring you the latest celebrity style from The Saturdays with our ruching and draping special.
If the mince pies and mulled wine are making you feel sluggish, take a leaf out of Geri Halliwell's book and distract with colour and a serious dose of cleavage, as spotted at A Night For Heroes 2009. Or take solace from the fact that even waif-like Vogue cover star Sienna Miller wishes she were a little curvier as she speaks out against size 0 culture and explains her new body plan for the New Year.
And, if nothing can make you feel grotto fabulous today, take solace from the fact that the stars can get it wrong too. Ten years ago a new millennium was dawning, and Celebville was an entirely different-looking landscape. See how the A-list looked a decade ago and let me know who you think the Sky Showbiz gold star for 'Most Improved' should go to!
Until tomorrow,

I don't know about you, but I'm always fascinated by just what other people do all day. OK, so they go to work, they drink coffee, they make a few phone calls, but what do they actually do, on a day to day basis?
To sate our curiosity and give us an excuse to be outright nosey, we've started a series of features called 'My 9-5', going through a typical day in the life of fashion and beauty insiders. We're kicking off with the dream job of womenswear buyer (in the words of Rachel from Friends, "it's like shopping, for a living!") and over the next few weeks we'll be bringing you the skinny on designers, models, make-up artists, top stylists, hair dressers and facialists.
We've got the goods on what we should be wearing now from style guru Nicky Hambleton-Jones who gives us her exclusive Christmas fashion and beauty tips, and the soap stars have also made an effort and scrubbed up for the festive season – see some familiar faces get a burlesque makeover here.
Hitting the red carpet last night were the stars of Guy Ritchie's latest offering, Sherlock Holmes, but the real surprise of the night was Jude Law’s shock date. So has he ditched Sienna for a different kind of squeeze altogether?
See for yourself and let us know what you think!

Monday 14th December
As Cat on Sky TV sagely pointed out at this morning's meeting, "it's only 11 more sleeps until Christmas!". Whether this thought fills you with dread (Scrooge alert) or joy (deck the halls and bring out the brandy) probably depends on the kind of day you're having - as much as on the day itself.
Traffic jams, spilt coffee and bad hair can afflict us all, so today we're bringing you some solace in the form of stars suffering from the dreaded "drizzle frizz" and the A-listers in need of a little ghd love, here.
Other stars suffering from serious doses of bad-day-itus include a certain rock star's other half who may be regretting getting inked after one too many margaritas. Take a look at the other celebrities who have made some interesting body art choices in our flashback of star tattoos, here.
Of course, where there is ying there is yang and so to the bright, shiny and happy people populating the world of the rich and famous. Following the reports of a reunion between Sienna Miller and Jude Law, new rumours are abound that the couple may be thinking about moving in together. We find out what's really going on - and the Sky Showbiz team will be keeping their eyes peeled for any action at Jude's Sherlock Holmes premiere in London tonight.
We take the final of the X Factor (so yesterday) as the perfect opportunity to look back at the real winners of the show - Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and their collective team of stylists. See our gallery of the judges' star style over the series here and see one of the style stars of tomorrow, model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on the latest Victoria's Secret swimwear shoot. It's enough to make you think twice about that second mince pie.
Let us know your to-do list for the run up to Christmas and keep us posted here,

Friday 11th December
Bling bling merrily on high - it's Christmas time, and the stars are out in fine sequinned form.
From Nicola Roberts’ haute couture halo in our tribute to this week’s best dressed, to the Sugababes (shame on you!) and other culprits in our round up of those celebrities whose style has been more miss than hit this week.
We've also got coverage of last night's Avatar premiere (the third this week, Sky Showbiz are exhausted!) and we catch up with Sky 1’s Got To Dance judge Kimberly Wyatt. Turns out she's not only a trendsetter with a great voice, fab moves, and an ass that won't quit - she's also a really nice girl as well.
Over in the US, the stars are cranking it up a notch in the run up to the festive season by flexing their fame muscles. One half of the most famous couple alive, Angelina Jolie, has been speaking out on politics in her essay for Newsweek (Whatever next? Gordon Brown editing Pop Bitch?). She lashes out at Barack Obama's approach to tackling corrupt Sudanese leaders, suggesting that team Brangelina might think twice before voting for him at the next election.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has been telling chat show legend Barbara Walters some surprising truths about her sexuality. So is Gaga gay? Judge for yourself here.
And as we wind down to a weekend of sauvignon blanc, sofa-time and Strictly (in that order), rest assured that we've also got all of your Friday bases covered, from our Showbiz Crush of the week to the latest fashion and beauty.
Until Monday, stay Showbiz and let us know your news and views,

Thursday 10th December
Ouch. That's all anyone is saying this morning. After the extraordinary buzz of last night's St Trinian's premiere in Leicester Square combined with The British Fashion Awards and the glory that was Team Showbiz challenging the boss to a bowl-off in Brick Lane, we're all in need of a sit down and a large latte.
Fortunately we have the perfect fodder to ease us into this Thursday with our gallery of star quotes – because even the rich and famous say ridiculous things sometimes - and our pick of the best boots for Winter and how to wear them in our style video, here.
We've also got all the goss from last night’s premiere and you can see Sarah Harding strutting her stuff and being supported by her ever so friendly Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. If only the same could be said of ice-maiden Tamsin Egerton...
If you still need a pick me up this hour, we've got an interview with the lovely Alex Zane as he talks love, life and celebrity pals to Sky Showbiz, and we're celebrating the news that supermodel extraordinaire Gisele has given birth to a boy with our gallery on all things baby related.
Enjoy!

Wednesday 9th December
String up the bunting and tie some balloons to the front door, it's the day of the office Christmas party here at Sky Showbiz.
No matter how many winters go by, there's something undeniably exciting about the first frosty morning, the first time the hot man in accounts is spotted wearing a woolly hat on the way in to work, and the first Christmas pantomime of the year featuring suitably C-list stars.
So, you can imagine our amazement at Showbiz HQ when we discovered that the A-list have taken over panto season this year. Baywatch's Pamela Anderson is starring in the New Wimbledon Theatre's Aladdin, despite reports that the first few performances may not be going as smoothly as possible. Find out why and see the other celebs who are treading the boards this winter, here.
It seems the A-listers can't get enough of London at the moment, with Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant getting cosy on the red carpet at last night's premiere of Did You Hear About the Morgans?. Hugh's ex Liz Hurley was on hand to offer support, as was SJP's stylist. What we wouldn't give for a day of personal shopping with the mighty L'Wren Scott.
One star who may need her help is Nicollette Sheridan. Sky Showbiz spotted the Desperate Housewives actress shopping at Ralph Lauren in what looked like pyjamas. While we are all for comfort dressing, it got us thinking, when does casual chic become slob style? Judge for yourself here.
Keep your thoughts and emails coming - we love reading them - and here's hoping you're feeling suitably festive this Wednesday.

Tuesday 8th December
The world has gone bonkers, with Lady Gaga baring less flesh than The Queen at last night's Royal Variety Performance.
We also witnessed the spectacle that is Alexandra Burke dressing up as an American footballer, Katherine Jenkins sprouting wings, and miniature pop sensation Shakira joined such luminaries as Winston Churchill, Stephen Hawking and the Dalai Lama as speaker at The Oxford Union.
Her oratory on charity and education for all seemed to strike a chord with the intellectual elite, and the Colombian-born Hips Don't Lie star said it was a "privilege" to be speaking in front of the 400 Oxford University students.
Also on stage last night was Keira Knightley, making her stage debut in a revival of Moliere's The Misanthrope. The Pirates of the Caribbean star told The Times she was so nervous that she, "wanted to vomit - but I was told that this was a very natural feeling!" See how other stars of the silver screen fare on stage in our gallery here.
Before we return to the real world and fuel up with lattes and Lindt dark chocolate to get us through the morning here at Showbiz HQ, let us spare a thought for the svelte Strictly star Ali Bastian, who has said that she fears piling on the pounds once the show ends. Dancing for eight hours a day is enough to keep anyone in shape, but The Bill star is a little concerned about how her metabolism will react once she stops to tuck into Christmas dinners. It's nice to know that they're just like us really. More sprouts, anyone?
Until tomorrow,

We know her style's in hot demand, but even the fashion-conscious Sky Showbiz team wouldn't resort to a hijack to get our hands on Victoria Beckham's latest collection. The singer turned designer is said to be devastated after her new range was stolen from a van in West London. Everyone from Madonna to Elle Macpherson has been seen wearing
What to wear ceased to be a concern for Lady Gaga and The Saturdays at last night's Jingle Bell Ball, as the performers saw fit to sing in their pants. Girls, we know you have amazing figures but for the love of all things yuletide, it's December! Get a coat.
Of course, some stars are already fully embracing the season and even slipping into the big red suit to bring on the Christmas cheer. Costume loving Katy Perry is, naturally, first in line but find out who else is getting festive in our gallery of celebrities dressing up as Santa.
Having already decided on my Christmas list (anything small and shiny, something lovely from Liberty and perhaps a pony, thanks), I am fairly confident that a life-sized sculpture of me and my other half wouldn't feature. Not only is this unlikely to fit into my flat, it might also take some explaining when his mother pops around for tea. And yet US artist Daniel Edwards has created a life-size sculpture of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie called Brangelina Forever. The couple are depicted nude and in a loving embrace, with a dove of peace on Angelina's shoulder. Nice. See which other stars have been immortalised in art in our retrospective, here.
And finally, to actress of the moment, Amy Adams who has this morning confirmed some exciting news. Read all about it here and find out who else has something to share.
Let us know your thoughts, and happy Monday!

Friday 4th December
Deck the halls and bring out the baubles, it's our favourite time of year on Sky Showbiz and we at Showbiz HQ have been busy bringing together the very finest that Christmas 2009 has to offer.
While the days seem to drag at any other time of the year, the few weeks running up to the 25th December seem to fly by at an alarming rate. Quite apart from the people to see, places to go, and parties to be seen at, there's also the question of presents. What to buy? Where to shop? And how to stretch that last pre-Christmas pay cheque to see you through?
To ease the festive stress we've gathered the best lifestyle, fashion and beauty gifts around and put together our very own Christmas Gift Guide. We've got fashion, beauty and celebrity lifestyle gifts divided up by price into under £20, £20 to £50, and £50 and over. So what are you waiting for? Get shopping!
The object of lust and talk of the team this morning was the fabulous gowns worn by Kate Hudson and Penelope Cruz as they hit the red carpet last night with co-star Nicole Kidman at the Nine premiere. Sky Showbiz were there (naturally) and enjoyed observing just how the co-stars interacted with each other as everyone was very careful not to mention a certain mutual ex in front of Nicole, Penelope, or a surprisingly diminutive Keith Urban.
We're also loving the new improved Cindy Crawford, who's rocking the 80s glamazon look and proving that you don't just have to stick to monochrome to stay chic this Christmas (although it helps). See who else had a haute couture hit this week in our best dressed gallery.
Of course every ying needs a yang and where there are style successes there are also failures. Jennifer Aniston can rarely be faulted for her fashion, but this week she seems to have let it all hang out, as have the Sugababes. See who else misses the mark in our worst dressed gallery.
And finally, if you're feeling confident in the fashion stakes but need a little help elsewhere, keep an eye on our beauty pages where we road test all the lates innovations in skincare and hair. This week we've answered the prayers of women everywhere with our hair SOS to beat the frizz.
Keep us posted on what you want to see more of on Sky Showbiz, and stay warm - and beautiful - this weekend!

Thursday 3rd December
Picture the scene: The candles are lit, the cobalt blue water is glistening invitingly, and a beautiful, sculpted, sapphire-eyed love-god is asking if you fancy a dip. When Zac Efron asks you over for a pool party, you say "yes". The gorgeous gorgeous 22-year-old (yes that's right, he was born in 1987. I think I was learning French and getting overexcited about mixed games on a Thursday afternoon in 1987...) has just bought himself a new bachelor pad in Canada, so today Sky Showbiz is all about scrutinising his taste in soft furnishings and lusting over the man himself.
Getting an insight into the real lives of the rich and famous is always fascinating. Who'd have thought that Cate Blanchett was such a fan of hoovering? Or that Shakira was a wannabe golf pro? Of course, things really get interesting when you sit down with the insiders themselves, as Sky Showbiz found out when we talked celebrities and style with the gorgeous Angela Griffin, presenter of Sky1's new show Angela and Friends. We're delighted to find that she's a Topshop and All Saints girl at heart - and that she'll never go all Mariah Carey on us.
Another celebrity who can always be relied upon to keep her feet firmly on the ground is Lily Allen, who this week has revealed that she plans to take a step back from the lime light altogether. But will the Smile star really be able to quit music? And just what would she do instead?
One singer in no danger of stopping any time soon is Beyonce, fresh from her triumph at last night's Grammy Award Nominations where she was nominated for a staggering 10 awards. Country star Taylor Swift followed closely behind her and you can find out all the nominations here.
Let me know who you think will win big at showbizeditor@bskyb.com

Wednesday 2nd December
Love is all around today on Sky Showbiz as we bask in the communal warmth of mutual appreciation and festive good cheer. Not only is the Christmas tree up in Showbiz HQ (vote now to let us know which star you'd like put up on top of the tree this year), the sun is shining, all's well with the world, and even the celebrities are enjoying a bit of a love-in.
First, to Sarah Jessica Parker who has moved on from smelling soiled nappies to bigging up her Ferris Bueller’s Day Off husband, Matthew Broderick. It just shows that after 12 years of marriage and three children it is possible to keep the spark smouldering.
Next up in the chart of gush is the long-suffering father of Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz who has leapt to their defence (no, we're not sure who had been criticising them either) insisting: "They’re not failures." Before the cynics among you suggest that perhaps the gentleman doth protest too much, we would like to add that Jessica and Ashlee have never been anything other than utterly adorable to Sky Showbiz and anyone who can look that good in hot pants (see Daisy Duke, nuff said) gets our eternal respect.
Then we come to Scarlet Johansson, a women's woman and all-around modern icon who shows once and for all that curves are back in her latest campaign for Red charity.
Of course, sometimes the love can burn out and today we should all be taking heed of poor Jennifer Lopez's sorry tale. The voluptuous Latino goddess and possessor of the most coveted bottom in history has been embroiled in a court battle to decide whether her ex, Ojani Noa, was allowed to release 'intimate' videos of the singer and actress. But finally, the verdict is out: read the latest here.
And if that's getting you a little hot under the collar this Wednesday morning you can cool off with the celebs as we take a trip to the mountains to see the stars hitting the slopes and showing off some spectacular ski-wear.
Until tomorrow, stay Showbiz,

Tuesday 1st December
“All women lie,” George Clooney told Sky Showbiz last night, as our LA reporter talked cod pieces and connections at the US premiere of his latest movie, Up in the Air. He chatted, flirted, and signed autographs for everyone, and our girl in LA assures us that he is just as gorgeous and charming in the flesh as on the big screen. So what was with the accusation? It turned out that the Fantastic Mr Clooney was only talking shoe sizes in this instance but what is that makes the fairer sex a little economical with the truth at times? And why do we bother?
At a dinner in London last night to launch beauty impresario George Hammond’s latest venture, All For Eve, the hot topic of conversation was this very same thing: Why do we lie? About make-up, Botox, our height, and even our age? Those in the know say it’s all about image, what we want to project and how we want others to see us. It may not be rocket science but it seems to work. So it's even more surprising when the stars suddenly come clean. Amanda Holden has said she's swearing off Botox from now on and following the furore surrounding Cheryl Cole’s hair in the recent L’Oreal ad, she’s now gone for a new look that is clearly all her own. Even couture-loving Katie Holmes has spoken out to defend her decision to let her three year old daughter, Suri, wear high heels. Whatever next? A pair of sensible Start-rite sandals?
Love is in the air elsewhere with rumours confirmed that Chelsea Clinton, the former president’s daughter, is engaged to her long-term banker boyfriend. And it’s happy families all around over at the Perry household as bad-boy Russell Brand assures us that he’s changed his ways and launches a major charm offensive on a visit to meet Katy Perry’s parents. So shoudl Katy trust the new, enlightened lothario? Let us know what you think!

Monday 30th November 2009
At a particularly salubrious Showbiz party on Saturday night, the great and the good of London town turned out in the rain dressed as their favourite celebs. As well as five Amy Winehouses, four Jedwards (two in Ghostbusters gear), three Lady Gagas, and two Katie Prices, the proverbial partridge in a pear tree was, without doubt, SuBo.
Now the fancy dress outfit of choice, the Britain's Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle also made chart history this weekend with her debut album, I Dreamed A Dream, going straight in at number one. We caught up with Simon Cowell and co. to get their verdict on the new star's success.
Sunday also saw the celebration of the late Boyzone star, Stephen Gately, as Boyzone band mates and Showbiz friends paid emotional tributes to the singer at his memorial ceremony in London's West End.
Reunions were abound Stateside too, with Kate Beckinsdale and Michael Sheen getting together for the sake of their daughter, Lily. It turns out that even A-listers can be sensible sometimes so we decided to take a look at all the stars who stay friends with their exes, from Chris Evans and Billie Piper to Jude Law and Sadie Frost, and ask, could you? Should you? Joint in the office debate and let us know your thoughts.
And, if you're in need of a touch of glamour this wet Monday, take a leaf out of Katie Holmes' book. The statuesque other half of Tom Cruise has ditched her prim and proper wardrobe of late and gone all racy on us. We look at the other celebrities loving the leather look and start compiling our virtual Christmas list ("Dear Santa, make mine a cropped leather jacket, preferably with Balmain shoulder pads a la Posh. And if you wanted to throw in the Chanel clutch bag too, that would be just peachy...").
Until tomorrow, stay Showbiz,
