35 of 35Brian May is widely known as the rocker from Queen, but he's also one of the brightest celebs in showbiz.
He studied physics at Imperial College London, before embarking on a PhD which focused on the velocity of dust in the plane of the Solar System.
At that point, Queen became massive and Brian didn't finish his thesis until May 2008, more than 30 years after he started his research.
He is also Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University, replacing Cherie Blair in the post from 2007.
