But MTV have finally confirmed that The Hills' Whitney Port, is to star in her own series.

Is queen bee Lauren Conrad about to be budged off her reality TV throne? 

Ever since Laguna Beach hit our screens, Lauren's been the one to watch and the creation of The Hills merely sealed the deal on her entrance to celebship.

But in today's fickle world you're lucky if you get 15 seconds - never mind 15 minutes of fame and we've been loving Lauren long time.

Whit's new show, In The City, which is out early next year, will see her fighting her way up in the fashion industry and tackling the singles' market to find a fella. 

So nothing like The Hills then.

In an MTV release, Whit said: "I am thrilled and honoured to be in New York City, not only working for Diane Von Furstenberg, but also to be able to mature as a young woman both professionally and personally."
