But who's the man behind the verbal missiles?

Li-Lo's dad, Michael Lohan, is the guilty party in question.

Yet again, Michael's been blabbering to the press - this time to take a dig at Sam, telling E!:

"People like Samantha Ronson don't need to be around Lindsay. She shouldn't be dragging Lindsay around nightclubs.

"Who was Samantha Ronson before Lindsay Lohan? She was nobody. She is using her for her own gain."Michael Lohan

Ouch. But Li-Lo's not the kinda girl to take this chat lying down - she's jumped to the defence of her lady friend, telling Access Hollywood:

"He’s out of control. I want him to stop hurting and talking to the media about the people I love."

Sam has also stuck up for herself, writing on her blog:

"I feel no need to publicly defend my role in Lindsay's life - I'm just sorry that she likes me more than him."
