But accidents happen and unfortunately this Wag enjoyed a little too much sun while on holiday in Las Vegas.

Carly Zucker paid the ultimate price for sitting out without enough care, by sporting some rather unsightly tan lines.

So, as summer approaches and more flesh is exposed, let's remind Carly and anyone else who'll listen of the Top Ten Tan Commandments:

1. Always apply a thick layer of sun cream.

2. Never fall asleep in the sun.

3. Come into the shade from time to time.

4. Keep well hydrated.

5. For even tan distribution, turn at regular intervals.

6. Avoid sitting out in the middle of the day.

7. Baby oil is banned.

8. Always pull straps down.

9. Sunglasses essential.

10. Apply a generous helping of after-sun.

So there you have it, no excuses now.
