Christina Aguilera is following in the footsteps of Beyonce Knowles and Justin Timberlake by starring in a Hollywood film.

The Dirrty singer will make her debut in a racy burlesque flick.

The 28-year-old mum of one will be at home in saucy corsets and stockings for the lead role in Burlesque.

The flick is reportedly based on Liza Minnelli's Cabaret, but is set in an LA strip club.

It's written by Pussycat Dolls producer Steven Antin and focuses on a shy innocent girl whose life changes when she lands a job as a dancer.

Hmm, Xtina playing shy? That could be a challenge.

Clint Culpepper, from Screen Gems, the studio making the film, said: "I couldn't be more excited, as this was a project written with her in mind."
